This guide shows you how to create a custom QR code for your salon, generate booking links for seven platforms, and track which channels bring the most bookings. You will use the QR Code Settings page to design your code, copy links for each platform, and review click and conversion analytics over time.
Click Settings in the left sidebar. Then select the QR Codes & Links tab.
What you'll see: Three sections on the page: QR Code Generator at the top, Booking Links by Platform in the middle, and Booking Analytics at the bottom.
The QR Code Generator shows a live preview of your code. Use the controls below the preview to customize it.
| Setting | Options | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Format | PNG or SVG | PNG |
| Size (px) | 100 to 1000 pixels, in steps of 50 | 300 |
| Error Correction | Low (7%), Medium (15%), Quartile (25%), High (30%) | Medium |
| Dark Color | Any hex color via the color picker | #000000 (black) |
| Light Color | Any hex color via the color picker | #FFFFFF (white) |
The preview updates automatically when you change any setting. Choose a higher error correction level if you plan to print at small sizes or add a logo overlay.
What you'll see: A live QR code image centered in a gray preview area. Below it, dropdown menus for Format and Error Correction, a number input for Size, and two color pickers side by side.
Click the Download PNG (or Download SVG) button below the configuration options. The file saves to your computer with the name qr-code-your-salon-slug.png (or .svg).
If you need to start over, click Regenerate to refresh the code with your current settings.
Scroll down to the Booking Links by Platform section. This shows a card for each of the seven supported platforms.
| Platform | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Link in your Instagram bio or stories | |
| Share on your Facebook page or in posts | |
| Add to your Google Business Profile | |
| TikTok | Link in your TikTok bio |
| Include in newsletters and email campaigns | |
| SMS | Send via text message to clients |
| Use on flyers, business cards, and receipts |
Each platform card shows the platform name and icon, setup instructions, the booking URL with a Copy button, a click count, and an Active/Inactive toggle.
To use a link, click Copy next to the URL. Paste it into the appropriate platform. Each platform has a unique tracking URL so you can see which channels perform best.
Scroll to the Booking Analytics section. Use the period selector buttons to view data for the last 7 Days, 30 Days, or 90 Days.
The analytics dashboard shows three key metrics at the top:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Total Clicks | How many times your booking links were clicked |
| Conversions | How many clicks resulted in a completed booking |
| Conversion Rate | The percentage of clicks that became bookings |
Below the metrics, a pie chart breaks down clicks by platform. Each slice shows the platform name and its percentage share. Further down, a Platform Breakdown table lists every platform with its clicks, conversions, and conversion rate.
What you'll see: Three colored metric cards (blue for clicks, green for conversions, purple for conversion rate) across the top. A pie chart in the center. A detailed table below with columns for Platform, Clicks, Conversions, and Rate.
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| QR code preview shows "Generating QR code..." and never loads | Check that your salon has a valid slug configured in Settings. Refresh the page and try again. |
| QR code fails to generate | Your internet connection may have dropped. Wait a moment and click Regenerate. |
| Downloaded QR code is blurry when printed | Increase the size to 512px or higher, or switch to SVG format for lossless scaling. |
| Copy button does not work | Your browser may be blocking clipboard access. Manually select the URL text and copy it. |
| Click counts show zero | The link may not have been shared yet. Verify the URL is correctly pasted on the platform. |
| Analytics says "No analytics data available" | Select a different time period. If the links are new, wait a few days for data to accumulate. |
| QR code scans but goes to the wrong page | Ensure your salon slug matches the public booking page URL. Check Settings to confirm the slug. |
| Platform link shows as Inactive | Click the toggle button on the platform card to switch it back to Active. |
| Colors are too similar and the code won't scan | Ensure high contrast between Dark Color and Light Color. Black on white is the most reliable. |
| Pie chart is empty even though there are clicks | All clicks may be from one platform. Check the breakdown table below the chart for details. |
